The CTS Curriculum

Our curriculum shows a brief outline of the many different areas we will be focusing on. This curriculum links practical life skills to the National Curriculum while developing confidence, perseverance, resilience, enrichment, wellbeing and teamwork.

The days activities will be planned depending on the age of the students attending and if they have been before, so we can then build on their previous days knowledge and skills.

A session is a full school day. Taking into account travel time.

On arrival the students will be greeted in our reception area, signed in and given a name badge.

We will then go upstairs and sit together in the meeting area and discuss what to expect, behaviour expectations, fire exits, first aid kits and the time table for the day. This may differ day to day depending on arrival times, the activities and time taken for the activities.

We will always sit together for lunch - a great time for feed back, what the pupils would like to do going forward and what they get up to out of school. Being able to sit and chat in this manner is a great skill to have once they are in the working world.
